
Award winning actress and actor Kellita Smith recently came back to Chicago to host and be the narrator of WTTW's upcoming unique documentary DuSable to Obama: Chicagos Black Metropolis. Smith is well-known for her character Wanda McCullough on The Bernie Mac Show, was born in Chicago. Her acting career spans over 20 years. In addition to her role on the Bernie Mac Show for over seven years, Smith has held recurring roles on CBS Nash Bridges; UPN Malcolm & Eddie; FOX Televisions Martin & Eddie; the WBs Jamie Foxx Show; Sister, Sister as well as NYPD Blue. Recent movies include Roll Bounce, a Fox 2000 Film; King Ransom with New Line Cinema; Fox Searchlight Kingdom Come starring Whoopi Goldberg; Marimax The Crossing Guard featuring Jack Nicolson directed by Sean Penn and New Line Cinema House Party 3.
