Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami at 2 years old. Ana was born and lived in Havana in the Cuban capital. Then she moved to Miami with her family around the age of 2 following her move from Havana. The birthplace of Ana Maria Polo was Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo hosts of renowned Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish programming to be nominated for the Daytime Emmy(r) Award, and it was named the top Spanish-language show on the air at 4pm in the key demos. Polo is a Cuban-born American that was born April 11, 1959. She attended Florida International University and graduated in political sciences. Then she earned a PhD in Law at the University of Miami, and practiced for twenty years in Miami. After that, she earned her PhD in Law from the University of Miami. Her legal skills were used on other court shows, and Telemundo Sala de Parejas 2001 and on the show Sala de Parejas. Literature Works and Awards Her 1958 novel Los Hijos Muertos won her both the Critic Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute fled Spain to the United States 1960. Polo, who is also a breast cancer patient and cancer survivor, is often quoted about the cause she is fighting. She's always been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns. She graduated in 1987 from the University of Miami School of Law and is a Florida Bar member.
