Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be among the top athletes. The 2016 Olympics took place in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s only female gymnast ever to win 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the title of world champion for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles and the younger of her sisters Adria were conceived from Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles the grandparents of Spring Texas (in the Houston area) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone first became interested in gymnastics when she was just six. Her coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went for an outing. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to competitions at the elite level in 2011. Two years after that Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles was notable by her consistent performance, her exuberant attitude and the level of difficulty that she included throughout each competition--vault, uneven bars the balance beam, and the ground work.
