Her debut song Here was released in the year 2015. It became a huge hit immediately, and both critics and admirers praised it. The song reached the top spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the song one of their Top Songs in 2015. That same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks which reached the top of Billboard charts, including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The song was particularly memorable due to her interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners related to her journey of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara's songs be filled with messages of kindness as well as self-love and mental wellbeing. Her music is an expression of her personal struggle in dealing with anxiety and depression. In an interview with Reuters the singer described her album as "half turbulent" as well as "half complete". The therapy she received made her stronger and she encourages other artists to follow the same path. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since the year 1996. Her parents have Italian origin. In 2010, her parents bought her a new guitar which she utilized to discover her love for the music. She began covering the songs she loved at 13 to prove to everyone that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be the next singer. Sweater Weather became her most famous album. The record label EP Entertainment EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her to write songs.
